Just curious, who ever wanted to win something that was rigged? Not me, however when my truck was entered into Truckin.com truck of the month contest June 2007 I posted the link all over the internet asking for votes. Dieselombers was not excluded. I won the contest, not because of cheating or rigging but because I used the resource of the internet to gain exposure to my entry. This is what is called maximizing the opportunity and taking advantage of all available resources. Every one has the same opportunity to win this contest and hopefully every contestant is doing everything they can to win.

We will not condone or contribute to rigging but friendly competition is healthy.

I don't think anyone has to look at any of these trucks and think that the owners aren't dedicated. But man, Sharx truck is about as nice a truck that I have ever seen anywhere. Stacks, custom badging, custom painting, etc. etc. I know I wouldn't want to line up next to him. Well...maybe...if he had run out of fuel or had no way to go in a forward direction.

 

Gosh Darn... never thought having a stockish (read the post and you will see itls not completely stock) would make it immposible to win a contsest. I feel that I try to help a lot of people on this (and other) boards. ask any of the Bombadars about my post in there section, (and yes I put it there so that only they could get to it). I spent a lot of time putting that together and sending it out to everyone, and I did it with a smile on my face because it helped out my buddies... the same buddies that have helped me do what i've done to my truck. and if anyone thinks i'm not as proud of my trruck as the next guy then fine... think that... i've staed before I like sharx truck a lot... bens is TIGHT.... and I LOVE 06's truck too. I can't lift my truck, I carry coustomers around in it... I can't make it crazzy fast... I don't have the $$$ for a tranny. remember we are not trying to buy a trophy but earn it. and everyone listed above has earned it but y'all get to decide you gets to keep it. good luck to all... i'm typing this on my treo during medic class and my fingers hurt. sorry for the rant but some comments made above are not what this site is about and that's why most of us camw here!

all i'm going to say is i think it's a shame if people are signing up for the forum only to vote and never be heard from again....unless it's time to vote again. it's even worse if people are being recruited just for the purpose for this. it shouldn't take a contest to get you to try and recruit for this site. i would hope that none of the contestants would stoop to this, let alone would want to win like this. this is supposed to be a fun contest between the members of this forum. let's keep it that way.....ya know...FUN. it's a cool contest with some great prizes but it's not worth any bad blood being brewed up between us. this is a new site and we're a tight community. we came here to escape drama so let's not create it.

If it wern't for people promoting themselves and this contest. I would have probably never found this board. I tend not to stray from my regular environment much.

 

We Didnt discourage Contestants Going and telling there friends to vote ... we have had our own fair share of Come Vote For me Threads There nothing wrong with them at all , However People thinking That we are intentionally adding votes to keep the poll close is Crazy Exspecailly when these people are not even in the contest .

Howdy folks, I gotta admit that I came here to view and vote, but I found a great place to keep up with everything diesel! If it were not for the voting, I would not have known about this site. I for one will be hanging out here a lot and hope the members will accept me as one of their own.
