I think the Liebherr T 282 B are the largest haul trucks made now, their rated to haul 400ton. I've drove the 320 kom. for 9 yrs, haven't gotten into one of the Liebherr's yet .

sad thing is the diesel motors don't even run these truck,all it do's is turn a big generator, their are big GE electric motors in each rear wheel, thats what drives em

except for the CAT. the 797 is still mechanically driven.

yep your right about that..I've heard rumors of cat going with a diesel/elec. soon. Don't know how true it is tho.

I'd bet some of them are over 12 feet tall. The biggest haul truck tire I've changed was on a 100 ton truck. I'm 6'6'' and I couldn't reach the top of it.

It's amazing with there size how short of a turning radius they have.
