Hi all, Has anyone taken a 6.5 out of a Chevy or GMC truck designed and built for the 6.5 motor and replaced it with the new Duramax for the newer Chevy and GMC trucks?

If not, I am currently looking for a 6.5 motor in the northeast area.

Yes it has been done but it is a HUGE project easier to swap for a Cummins or stay with the 6.5 if you want a KISS project, 6.5s have more power in them than many realize, form the factory they were anemic power wise and had some growing pains with some things, so they got a bad reputation which made parts plentiful and cheap to buy.
