as far as HP goes what will the stock transmission hold in the 04 thru 07 gmc 3500 trucks....

 

at the most 100 hp and that is probably pushing it

 

80hp is about the limit for everyday driving and messing with people from time to time.

anything over 100 your pushing it, and try not to go into 5th gear at WOT


it can hold alot of extra power i ran it on 135hp for 2 weeks before i got my tranny rebuilt felt solid but it would slip at around 75mph after limping it...

 

They will hold like 90-100 extra hp as the guys said, just avoid the 4-5 shift at wide open throttle.

 

06+ a transgo jr. will allow 20-25 more hp reliable = 120-130 total extra

 

You still want to be easy on the 4-5 shift though.
