As of 12/14/2007 GM announced the 2010 release date. The 2500HD Z71 Suburban that is traveling around the shows is just a mock up to show people the concept.

The Duramax has never been outsourced. It was designed and built by DMAX LTD which is a GM owned company that is 50% Isuzu Engineers and 50% GM Engineers. They aren't loosing anymore money than Ford or Dodge. You can Google Jd Power & Associates to get the exact figures on all three.

I don't think the Duramax is going anywhere anytime soon.

That's a fact brother. When they've already got the prototype designed for 2010 and the testing has already begun I'm pretty sure its sticking around.
