Good for them, too bad they aren't very friendly with their competing diesel performance vendors.

This thread will not become another Banks bashing session. If you have a problem with them then call their customer support and file a complaint. This has nothing to do with the Sidewinder's progress so keep it on topic.

Sweet...good lap!

Too bad such a great engine can only be had in a GM truck.

Here's a little info from the engine builder on the difference between the Type-D and Type-R.

The type R engine:
-Stock LLY pistons
-stock crank
-forged rods
-custom grind cam
-CNC proted heads with larger valves
-stock LBZ cp3.3 fuel pump

They type D engine:
-custom banks forged pistons
-stock crank
-forged rods
-custom grind cam
-cnc ported heads with larger valves
-light weight lifters
-Fuel system yet to be tested
