Thinkin about gettin a 2011 GMC 3500 Duramax and I'm guessin its a LML motor and I've heard about the DEF tank issues but I've also heard about how much hp and tq it has 397 and 765 or somethin like that which is amazing for a stock truck. So everyone please give me your opinions on the new LML Duramax pros and cons.

 

Id like to have one but thats a few years off

I really havent heard any cons on it yet, but Im sure other guys are more learned that I am.

 

no cons yet. it was named truck of the year by MOTOR TREND and DIESEL POWER MAGAZINE, so if tell you anything. Me personally, if money was no object, i would own 2, LOL one for me and one for the misses. Drove one in the desert when i was deployed. Loved it. It was deffinately the most reliable truck we had over there. I dont like the DPF, but you can buy delete kits. other than that it is putting out enough HP that i wouldn't have to mod it as much as i do my LLY to get the same numbers...LOL

 

Im curious if we will see 600+rwhp with just tune, exhaust, and intake on either the 6.7 PSD or LML Dmax. The 6.4 PSD got real close at 585rwhp or so.

 

We got 425hp on ours with a mild emissions safe tune.

It runs pretty good I think. going to be interesting to see how much more we can get out of it once we get deeper into the ecm
