Does anyone know if a radio out of an 07 will work in my 04?

I assume you mean an '07 classic? If you do, then phyicaly, yes they will fit and work. BUT you will need to program the radio to accept the VIN of the truck, to unlock the radio. Other than a Tech2, I forgot the whole process.

 

You will need to buy a different connector/adapter for the radio. Also you will need a different mounting bracket. just did it to my buddies 06, put a new head unit in his and was going to use his old head unit in mine. but it turns out to be more work than its worth (to me). i have a 04.5. also he had to buy an adapter so he would still have his door chime and the other b.s. things like the accesorery on switch when you turn the key half way.
