Default worked on my buddys Dmax last night

So he just bought a 07 crew cab, sb and we installed a 4" exhaust and with the deletes with a 100hp EFI live tune.
All i gotta say is WOW!, The smarty version for cummins has nothing compared to it. I have a lot more respect for the dmax's now. dont know why i thought they were slow but after last night with a exhaust and some simple mods, the 4wd launches were very impressive!
Now question is, why dont they make the efi live for all diesel engines? and is it true that 07's have the airbox set up to handle around 500hp before thinking about going to a cold air intake?

There is an EFI live for the Cummins in the works (if it hasn't already came out).

a modded stock intake is good enough for 500ish horesepower, efi live is great. been tuning with my two of my buddies lly's and its crazy how much we have done, both of these trucks are mid 13 trucks with just added fuel and timing, we havent touched the boost tables they only make 22lbs of boost ad theyre smokeless.

i just love messing with tuning the possibilities are endless.

he should look into getting a transgo jr for his truck itl help the transmission hold beter

Yep, it doesn't take much to make these puppies scoot.

And unless you just want the "bling thing" then the stock air box is just fine till you are in the 500 range.

I'd skip the twins until you max out the truck with the stock turbo setup. I know with EFI Live and straight pipe exhaust only, you can pull over 400hp and over 1000lb/ft torque.

Build the trans as strong as possible, then start playing with EFI Live.
