The ac delco filter that came off had a black rubber insert inside the center. The Baldwin did not come with one so I put it in the balwin but there was no way the threads would come close to catching so I took it out and screwed the Baldwin on. So my concern is if the rubber insert is not in there is my fuel getting filtered???? On the bottom where the filter attached there was a rubber nipple hanging down that looked like it would make contact with the filter. Hope someone can shed some light on this.
