well if you think about it, it isnt as hard as it sounds. get under your truck think about what you need what you want and what you want to keep. then make a quick list and find those parts and then find out what else you need.

cuz if you take the front suspension out. you really just need a slightly older style front end to put under your truck. have you thought about finding a truck a few years older that has a solid axle and just takin the suspension? thats what I would do but thats just my .02

you cant really understand how much work it really is until youve done one personally. i did my last one a weekend. my first one took me a month though.

its more of a money factor than it is finding the parts. besides the axle, pretty much everything can be found at a local 4wd shop.

but by the time you factor axles springs brackets brakes steering drivelines etc etc it adds ups really fast. i think i got 800 into my steering alone

a bronco is completely different than a chevy. a chevy uses true ifs. a bronco uses a semi straight axle at least. and on the trucks with ttb theyre still leaf sprung.

I beg to differ on the ttbs bein leaf sprung. My ttb doesnt have leafs. It has springs but not leaf springs. but maybe thats just the later style broncos and 1/2 tons. I dont particularly know.

no all the 1/2 ton stuff had coils.the light duty 250 so to speak had leaf spring ttb.the HDs had the D60 leaf sprong.but his point is that its easier to start with say a truck that has coils of leafs than a truck that doesnt have anything.theres a lot more than the mags say.if you go with a 6-8 sas its not that bad but say 22" and above everything is custom.you build your own steering, clocking the diffs, clocking transfer cases, trying to get the stock computers to work with tires that are taller than 40" and gears bigger than 488s isnt easy either.most hand helds dont go this high there4 getting a laptop program and changeing it your self.agian add cost.most ford stuff is easy cause theres other fords to steel and change parts from.
