Any idea what the cost of the Big Hoss bundle is? Their dealer locator page is retarded on the site and is more like a request form requiring all your information...

385lb-ft and 155hp sound like good numbers to me...that should put me at around 380RWHP and 775 ft-lbs at the rear. Of course, I'll have to shell out about $4000 for a transmission first...this will be further down the road.

The 155rwhp and the 385ft/lbs is the horse power the Six Gun Tuner adds the bundle adds much more than that, If you stick with Banks products only they make a Banks Billet Torque Converter that up-grades you stock Allison to hold the power of the bundle.

My Brother, Dad, and I all run Banks. My Truck has the Six Gun/speed loader/IQ Monitor, Big Head Waste Gate, Dyno-fact Gauges, Monster Single 4" Exhaust, Techni-Cooler, Ram Air Intake with the Super Scoop, 30% over Stage 2 CP3 (BIG THANKS TO JIM AND GARRY AT DIESEL INJECTION IN LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY), Holley Black 150 lift pump, South Bend Dual Disk Clutch/custom SS input/out shafts and Richmond Brass Syncros, and Devils Own Stage 1 315ml/min Water Alcohol injection kit that I run a 40% alcohol 60% water that injects into the Techni-Cooler.

With all Royal Purple Synthetic Fluids my truck put down 534 horse Power on the dyno, I drive this truck every day. Its Just a straight cab work truck with Bucket seats and Hummer wheels "33-12.50-17" and I get 24.6 miles per gallon. In my apportion Banks products can't be beat, my truck is a prime example. Some buddy's of mine buy these big PPE and Edge tuners that claim to be 425hp tuners and I can out run the with the six gun because there trucks are over tuned, they can't get enough fuel/air, or they can't get the power to the ground because there transmissions are junk. They are high and there costumer service sucks, but there stuff is top quality. Just look at there Ram Air and Super Scoop Compared to say a AFE or AEM Brute Force, there is no comparison sure Banks is a third higher in price but you could 50 of those intakes for the money it cost Banks to make one.

I plan on doing two more up-grades and I'm done. I would like to put 25 hp injector tips (if they make them that small I may have to go with 50hp tips), and a small single turbo up-grade. I will by those Items from banks if they are ever offered.

My Brothers 04 LLY runs the Six Gun/Speed Loader/PDA, Ram Air/Scoop, Monster Dual Exhaust, in tank CP3 feed pump, and the Banks Billet Converter on his truck and he hasn't had a minutes trouble. It is a straight cab with a 5 speed Allison, Hummer wheels with 34X12.50 inch tires and he gets 23.3 miles per gallon. His Truck has never been on the dyno but Id say It would put down 420-425 horse to the ground.

My Dad Has a 05 Extended Cab Six Speed Manual with The Banks Outto-Mind/Speed Loader/PDA, Monster 4" Single Exhaust, Banks Ram Air/Without scoop Banks Exhaust Brake, and a South Bend Single Disk Clutch 32X10 tires on the stock wheels and he gets 24.7 miles per gallon.

Between me and my family we have bought just about everything Banks makes for the LB7/LLY Duramax 3/4 pick ups except The Banks Bullet and Econo- Tuner so I can't speak for those two products but everything I have got Banks has more than lived up it name lasted great and so far it hasn't tore anything up, and its great for fuel economy

You do pay for the price, but you do get a matched system that has been tested as a complete assembly. I did put in the pda and red "black" box (no egt probe) on in the hotel parking lot in 35 degree weather in the dark (yeah it sucks but I was working 1250 miles away from home). I am thinking about adding EFI live as the base programmer and the banks kit stacked on top just to see if it will work.
That would be good, you could put a big custom tune on a 2 pos on off switch and have 1 big tune for extreme conditions. If you have the newer PDA or IQ you can access a 7th level. Banks will through a big cloud of smoke if you have the IQ it allows you to turn the accelerator pump up.

Banks's reputation is coming up since everyone is ANTI-smoke now to keep the left wing tree huggers at bay.. But most people want to make more power than Bank's lil PDA thing can put out..

And in all honesty, if you are planning a trans, might as well get the best stuff after that.. which of course is EFI Live..
Banks has been around longer than any other diesel performance company out there. They are about making the truck more efficent not just dumpin diesel in the cylinder. With effiency comes power

there are Many Custom tuners out there with the same philosophy, but they dont feel the need to rub everyones face in it, I have some tunes from duramax tuner that make 360-380rwhp and they aren't smokeless but they are very clean and they clean up very quickly and I didnt have to pay for the banks name, I didnt get sucked into the wonderful ads he likes to put into the mags, when something is too good to be true it usually is

I am gonna play devils advocate.... Go with efi live. You will be much happier in the end. As was said, your paying for a name. Not a bad name, but you an get better gains for less cash getting other brands. With efi love you have more options for tuning your truck to your liking, not a predetermined load out.

Default Banks big hoss bundle

I'm a newbie here so I have a lot to learn, but it appears to me as well, that there aren't an abundance of "Banks" users hereon. Well, I'm one of those guys who has decided for now at least to stay with all Banks products. I have an '06 LBZ Duramax engine, and I have the full on
Big Hoss Bundle; incl. the Ram-Air intake w/ the Super Scoop, the 3-1/2" diam. Boost tubes. the 4" diam. Monster Exhaust w/ 5"diam. tip, the six-gun tuner w/ Banks IQ Dash-board mounted PC, themocouple to monitor EGT, and I'm pushing 470 RWHP and almost 800 RWlb-ft
Torque. It is phenomenally quick at the top setting. It was not that difficult to install, as a matter of fact it is very well designed, and it worked flawlessly the first time , right out of the box. Sales staff is outstanding, and tech. support has been available with no more than six mins. of waiting time max. With my limited all-around knowledge, I still have to say that I'm impressed with Banks, and the total cost for the whole bundle, was about $2300, as I recall.

Is that actual dyno numbers or estimated numbers from banks? I am pushing over 500 and have dyno sheets to prove it. That's power to the wheels. Not crank horsepower

And the dyno tuning cost me less than 600 hindred dollars
