yeah that help out. im guessing your runnin a smaller tune since you still got the stock trans.

tcm tuning got me thinking though, cause you can raise the shift point for each gear. i just got an idea maybe that you can keep the 3250 shift for 1-4 gears and for the 4-5 WOT shift you can raise it higher to try reduce the torque and also use torque limiting to limit it even a little bit more. you can probably hold a big tune like that cause them first 4 gears are stout.

but thats just an idea though, i got a build trans so that would just hurt me speed wise cause i can hold that kind of power. but i do know some guys with stock trans still that im helping tune right now

Yeah that is a good idea I might have to try that too. I've never limped the trans or anything. The tune I'm running is probable 150 or so, and believe me a trans is on the list but now that I'm back in school money got a little tighter. I'm mostly experimenting a little with this just trying things out.

the position 4 tune on my dsp5 is 2300 at 160mpa which is all i ever see I've left the fuel pressure stock. Thats the one i run the most of the time, position 5 is just a play tune with higher pw for some smoke i try not to run it much is pretty powerful for the poor allison.

Exactly it helps alot especially since theres so much stuff you can experiment with. Im still rather new at this so i'm finding new stuff out all the time. I've got the lopey idle on the pos. 5 tune too which is pretty cool just trying to figure out a way to make is less violent and just sound good. And this way i can put in 5 different shift tables to find out which works the best.

Well I got something made up today, it seems to work a lot better then before. I went back into the trans tune and changed those defuel tables as well it dropped of a lot at those rpms too. Still a little rough but I'm sure thats just the trans relearning.
