It CAN hurt your trans.. But lots of people run their programmers up hot like that untill they start slipping the trans. Transgo makes a kit to help hold extra power for ya, and its quite inexpensive. Its not a cureall, but it will help.

Alot of it depends on how you drive, and how the trans has been treated untill now.
I ran my 6spd allison HARD with my bullydog on the 120 setting for 30,000 + miles and only limped it once. Its all in how much you want to spend on it bud.

6 speed with a 120hp setting, give it like a few runs for it to learn and have fun. trans should hold it

85 would be fine for daily driving, but the 6 speed trans are pretty stout if your curious turn it up and make like a 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full throttle runs and trans would be fine for weekend fun. for towing turn it back down

if it limps it locks the transmission in 4th gear and then u gotta reset it, and just turn the programmer down a little, or be more careful when hitting the 4-5 shift.

You are going to limp the tranny of 120, I did it any times. Once you do it the first time it makes all the other times easier.

You have a 6 speed in your LLY?

if you drive the truck hard you will be upgrading the trans, how long it will hold is any ones guess, if you want to play on the safe side run the 85 tune.
