The 10 speed Allison I believe is used in the Sprayers mounted to a Cummins or Detroit diesel engine.Those things hold up to about 500,000 miles so they are very Reliable.

Keep hearin rumors here at the shop that GM is switchin to a 6.9L twin turbo diesel here sometime soon for emissions so we will see what happens.

Praying for coil over instead of torsion bars.

Same here Johnny. Soild axle with coils and i would buy a chevy again. Torsion bars are a no no in my book

i actually don't mind the IFS. My truck rides great and handles great for a truck this size. Much better than my Dodge.

I just think that torsion bars have some serious limits when it comes to sustaining loads like snow plows and such. I think coil overs would fix this and they also seem to have more adjustment potential. I also think coil overs will make the truck handle even better. IMHO.

Oh god I hope they don't make the same mistake Ford did with the 6.4L!
