Default New DTC?

I just went to leave the house and got a P0700 and it didnt wanna come out of 4th gear...

Checked the code and its

p0700 - TCM requested MIL Illumination..
p0700 - TCM Malfunction

Any Ideas? Did I tear Something up or what?

Thanks,

KC

The ECM illuminates the Check Engine Light when the diagnostic of the Allison runs and fails.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

  • The ECM turns OFF the MIL after 3 consecutive ignition cycles that the diagnostic runs and does not fail.
  • A current DTC, Last Test Failed, clears when the diagnostic runs and passes.
  • A scan tool can clear the code from TCM history. The TCM automatically clears the DTC from TCM history if the vehicle completes 40 warm-up cycles without failure.
Sounds like a Companion Code

You limped it, welcome to the club

Just reset the taps and turn the power down a little or just ease into 5th gear now, every time you limp it you burn a little bit more of the clutch and its holding power goes down and after a few dozen limps you will need a rebuild badly
