Default Interior Mods

Has Anyone with the classic body style done any interior modifications? I have the 60/40 front bench, and manual sliders for the dual A/C. Im wanting to do the fency center console with buckets and the all digital A/C controls... And Does anyone know of a good touch screen monitor/amp/behind back seat speaker combo for the Crew cab models?

We need to get some info on interior modifications... Surely some of ya'll got some answers or can tell about what mods you have done..

well I sent you an Im about a deck and as for box um I heard the ones fora gmc work but for chevys you have to remove the pressure vents behind the rear seat to make it fit right. I am in the works of talking a friend into building me a box for 2 8's ot maybe 10's for my truck if that works can poss send you measurements and what not.

DUDE I was going to do this at some point -- was telling my wife about it the other day (wanting to change from the green...)

I can't wait to see the write up!

Can't switch out for digital A/C controls or you could I'm sure but it would cost $$$$$. You can upgrade to the Bose nav and audio in the tahoes and such or you can go aftermarket. I would build a custom box for subs or have one built. I lifted my seat 2" and have 4 8s under there with 1300w stock HU some day I think I'm upgrade my bose to the Tahoe amp its better then the ones in our trucks.

where did you get your box taht lifted your seat 2"? I found 3 boxes thatgo behind the back CC seat if i take that big plastic thing out.. one holds 2-12" one holds 3 10" and one hold 4 - 8". Im debating going with the 10's or 12's..

as far as the digital AC controls.. I can live without them, but I wanted the whole center console and buckets like the bose trucks have.. surely they would fit.. I just gotta find a donor truck to jerk them out of..

You got any good junkyards up there by you?

just go to a audio shop they will be able to build you a box for 2 10's and you shouldn't have to take out the ducts just the flap that covers the gap when you put the seats down i have had mine in two trucks and me and my brother even built him one out of the measurements of mine. Oh ya it is really expensive to change your A/C out to the auto version i thought about doing this and even at cost the parts cost way to much

Ask my fiance how he fit the subs in my truck and still have room for two ropes and chains and a trailer hitch..... he did it some how and it looks really good if you didnt know that he modified it you would swear it was factory. He also installed a LCD screen a while back but replaced it because it froze up and wouldnt shut off making the battery die so he changed to a different easier one to use. I'll have him check out this post so he can help ya better.

I lifted my seat and built the box. You are very limited on the mounting depth of subs with the CC trucks the EC actually have more room. Get the 12s if you want boom boom, 10s sound better ain't as loud, and 8s have the most sound quality generally speaking. But a well setup system with the same power and 3 10s will be louder the 2 12s and 4 8s are even louder.
