Suggestions on Lift Kit for 2012 Duramax
Hi,
I own a 2012 Silverado HD LTZ Crew 4x4 6.6L Duramax.
I have put a AFE cold air intake, 5" Flowmaster exhaust, and a XRT Programmer in it so far.
On paper I have over 500hp.
I want to put a lift kit in this truck this spring. I have been doing everything through a dealership to maintain my warranty. I dont know a much about lift kits. Right now the dealer is trying to sell me on a 6.5" BDS lift kit. Is this a good brand? Is 6.5" to big or small??
I want to put 37" Toyo tires and 20" rims with my lift. Will 6.5" be big enough to fit those tires and avoid rubbing??
I was also wondering what else should I do to support the lift kit and avoid having troubles - I know a few people who have nice trucks lifted and they are always in the shop. Is there a way to reinforce parts of my truck to avoid them wearing so fast??
Any input would be awesome. Thanks.
