Question factory software

I have a 2008 lmm, 365 hp. the new ads say that the LMM in 2011 has 395hp and get 11% better mileage. Does anybody know if you can load the 2011 program in a 2008. Don't really care about the 30 hp but the millage would be great. I'm still under warranty so maybe I can get it as an upgrade.

I'd say no.. The 2011 is a whole different animal with the regen ,DEF,and suspension changes. Your best bet is to get a econo tuner if all ya want is mileage ..

Nope, the new ECM in the LML is completely different, the Injectors, injection pump, it is 60% new parts
Even the guys at EFIlive have been having trouble reading the tune off the ECM, let alone being able to reflash it, GM has the LML locked down hard

I agree with BLACKDX, if you want more power and better mileage you need an economy tuner, and if your warranty is up removing the DPF helps a lot in improving mileage as well

LML? I doubt it, Im thinking GM is going to crack down hard on tuners and aftermarket parts on these new trucks

So what tuner is the best for mileage. That won't void the warranty. 397 hp is enough for now

As far as I know there are no tuners availible to buy for the LML as of yet, there are companies like Bullydog and H&S that are testing them now, but there are probably others

I think you're stuck with a stock truck for a while

Edge EZ, 30mpg?(besides its not available for the 2011) not likely, its a 7000lb+ truck with the aerodynamics of a brick, the best i can do with a good tune is 22mpg, it could probably get better if i really tried, and tried to make the truck more aerodynamic, but its not worth it

its a truck with 350rwhp, its not a tdi jetta
