Default LMM On The Rollers

Hey guys this is just for information purposes so some of you have a starting point. During the get together in NC this weekend, an older guy showed up at the dyno with a brand new GMC LMM and wanted to dyno. This thing only had 400 miles on it and he consistantly did 297 HP. NO MODS OF ANY KIND. Which means if GM is saying 350HP at the flywheel and you subtract the 17% loss to the rear then it is right on the money. Actually 7 HP more. Yes we actually did the math while he was on the rollers. Hope this helps somebody.

Default LMM

I thought the new LMM's were 365 hp, which would probably be closer to the typical 20% loss?

Thank you for correcting me. I just found where it is 365, and 20% loss is the correct math for that.

I talked to the guy for a while and he was thrilled with his. I have to admit I have always been partial to the GMCs and his was nice. I will post a pics and dyno run as soon as I get all my media in order from this weekend.

Can you get the LMM engine in the classic body style, or only the new body style? Sorry to kinda change the subject was just curious since on the topic of the engine-
