Default Need help

Hi,

Just coming back from a 3,500 miles trip and got a strange problem. Everything was going well when suddenly truck died (stalled) on highway. Service trailer brake (even if I was not towing), emergency brake and abs lights on. Code P2510 - ecm/pcm power relay circuit. I put it on park and can immediately restart engine and leave, all code and lights go away. It redid it after every 10 mins when I was using cruise control and every 2 hours when not using it. I just passed from 90 degrees in Florida to 30 degrees in Indiana in the same day and just started to have problems when it was 30 degrees.

Then I continued to drive like that, then I got a change fuel filter message (I just changed it before the trip, went from 80% to 0% in 2 hours). I left the truck for the night and this morning I was not able to start it, it was saying theft detect system. Sometime it was cranking sometimes not. I pumped the fuel rail and gave fuel while starting it. It finally started and had to hold pedal at full idle to not seeing it dying. Went on the road again, truck died 1 other time but then drove about 400 miles without any problem (it had warmed up to 50 degrees). batteries were fully charged and I had 14 volts while driving, so I guess these are not the problem.

My question is, is it 2 problems or it's linked? Maybe I have bad connection somewhere and my ecm lose communication and I got some bad fuel somewhere and my filter clogged? Or can it be a limp mode for fuel system failure?

Has anyone seen it before?

GMC SIERRA 3500 2009 450,000 MILES, DPF DELETED, EFI LIVE, K&N AIR FILTER.

Sounds like a bad ground connection. Check all of the grounds on the frame, especially the one under the driver door.

Also the two large connectors on the top of the driver side engine. Some times the pins work loose and don't make good connection. The pines that appear shorter then the others are likely the ones. Use some small needle nose pliers to pull on them and reseat them

Lastly, the ignition switch may be faulty. Fairly easy to change too
