I took my truck in to get the fuel filter fixed, they did it but when they tried to start the truck it was dead no response when you turned the key. Coinsidence maybe, they worked on it for 6.5 hours and finally came up with a fix they put a jumper wire from the transmission to the neg post on the battery and now the truck starts but it starts in all gears. Does anyone have a better more perminent fix.

Could be the neutral safety switch.

Double check all of the fuses including the mega fuses
