Does anyone know of a good transmission shop in the southern Indiana area that deals a lot with the Allison. Going to have to get mine rebuilt but I don't want to get in the position where every time I get in the truck it wont move. Probably going to get a ppe or SC kit and converter so someone who is perhaps a dealer would be great. Thanks for any help.

 

Check out Danville performance in danville Indiana, they specialize in duramax and allison, and it looks like they sell SC kits, only about a 3 hour drive for you

I had the same worries about an Allison build-up. Including freight ($5500) I shipped my transmission to Ingelwood Transmission in So. Cal. Mike Lovrich is written up quite a bit in the diesel mags. He has built transmissions for trucks in the Diesel Power Challange. I wanted it done right the first time.

Mike takes the best parts available from every manufacturer and puts together the best of the best. I now have no worries.

 

Mike is good, but sometimes thats just not a viable option for some
