I need some help, my tranny locked up in fourth gear and it threw a code of 0700. I wiped out the dtc's and it did it again. The 2nd time it wiped them out, my tranny temp jumped up to 225 fast. What could be the problem, hauling about 23,000lbs from San Antonio to houston. Did this hurt the Allison? Thanks, Texas Rocket

yea 70 hp tune is a bit much for 20,000+ load.. I dont pull my 5th wheel camper over a 60 tune.. and it only weighs 14,000.. Might start savin for a shift kit, or a full trans bud. Hopefully next week will be a better week for ya.

Well, I wouldnt say you messed it up, but when you limp the trans, it makes it where it wont hold the power quite as well from then on.. I would definately look into either a shift kit from Transgo or a full trans. they help with piece of mind.

Yep I have seen that code alot on my Duramax. I have an 06 LBZ and I went thru 4 stocker trannys before puttin the money down and gettin a fully built suncoast. You dont have to go that extreme, I would suggest a shift kit and maybe a TC if you really really really desperatly needed it. Your trans isnt gonna shift as well after that so go east on her and keep the ship turned down and she'll hold together. Hope that helps and you have a better day bud.
