Default My DTC Codes..

Hey ya'll, just got my MBRP installed last night, and while drivin back from Fayetteville, AR today, the check engine light came on and when I got back I checked the DTC and it gave me Code P0401. So I looked it up on here and its showing me

P0401 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow Insufficient (GM)
P0401 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected


Is this something I need to be worried about? I just cleared the codes and Im hoping its nothing important..

yea, I did the cat delete.. and I figured thats what might have caused it.. but I hope that there is no negative effects of this.. is a fingerstick the only solution?

You could go the finer stick route if you wanted to. It's just a matter of tapping into a few wires or a PPE tuner. I believe the predator will shut off the egr codes also.

Honestly, I am thinking about a PPE Hot +2 instead of the EFI Live for my tuner upgrade.. I can install say the 160 tune from the PPE and then plug the buly dog in so I can switch on the fly.. I really dont see me liking the EFI live because I switch tunes everytime I hook up and un hook from my 5ver.. So I think I'll start pricing the PPE's with the +2 Hot unlock..

You won't be able to load the PPE and the Bullydog @ the same time. They can be loaded individually though. The PPE takes about 5 minutes or so versus the 10-15 for the bully dog. You could probably pull your 5er on the PPE 160 tune with a transgo jr. shift kit. Hope this helps.

I only use one tune and that's my race tune, whether im towing or not, i tuned it that way.

PPE is good, but you need alot of supporting mods, i haven't heard of many people in the 12's with just a PPE tune.
