new truck and new to diesel
im buying an 04.5 lly that is all stock with 86,000 miles on it and im lookin to add some power and some goodies to it in the near future. what is the first things i should do to it. im new to diesels but been a big fan for a long time. Any help would be much appreciated
i got some money but i realy would like to do the work myself to get to know my truck a little better....i want to spend as little money as possible but make the most of it....but im not gonna skimp out of power
to DBi would get a better intake for the LLY. then go for the higher flowing exhaust and get EFI Live on it. that should satisfy you for a little while. i wouldn't put more then about 50~80 HP on it without upgrading the transmission first.
i was planning on the intake but what do you guys recomend and efi live from what iv heard is realy expensive. where do i get it and how hard is it to install

and in the future im thinkin a five inch exhaust with duel stacks but for now do you think i should cut off the cat or the muffler or both ?

this is what happens when you have an EGR. blocking it or removing it will allow only clean fresh air to enter the engine improving performance and efficiency. a PCV reroute would also be good
