If you going to stay with a muffler kit then I would just get the 4" Expandit Kit.

Breaking things gets expensive, specially when this truck makes me money. I guess at this point I need to back up and re-group here. I would like better fuel economy and I need to start somewhere. I would like to get a little input on what to start with, there is only so much reading one could do. IMHO real world experiences go a whole lot further than theory's in books.

I would like to thank everyone for their input!!

and in my real world experience the efilive pretuned ecm netted by far the greatest gain went from stock getting 16-17 to now getting 22-23(if i keep my foot out of it ), and its trans/motor safe! exhaust you probably wont see anythign realy.

oh yeah it does i stopped mudding in the truck a loooong time ago. i use mine for racing and sled pulling, and unfortunately when you do push things way beyond people thought was not possible things do break , but efi live can be used to do anything.

yeah the stock trans tunes are nice and safe, fuel sippers too. ive ran other guys tunes before and they all were nice and made good power, but it wasn't for me, i prefer doing my own and tweaking things just right.

yep, duramaxtuner.com 's dsp5 trans safe tunes are good clean, smooth power and they made my mileage go from 13-15 to 18-22, that was the biggest improvement to my mileage
