Default Duramax Won't Start

We are working on one in are shop and it won't start. We have fuel to all the injectors and replaced the primer on it. The owner put shims in the fuel rail so it would get more fuel and ever since then it won't run right. It seems like the injectors won't open at all cause there is no smoke. HELP!!!!!!

Did it come in for a no start or did it not start after some work was done?

It wouldn't start after he put shims in the rail.

pull the shims out and see if it runs, thats where i would start make sure he didn't do something wrong with the install. also make sure he hooked everything back up during the assembly process

Yep. Glow plug controller would be the first thing I'd check.

is it turnin over but wont start? if so when you do the shim kit or rail plug you lose all prime to the rail so you have to re-prime the rails again. only other thing i can think of is did you lose the spring in the valve?

if you have fuel to the injectors it sounds like the rail isnt maintaining pressure to keep it to the injectors...something got messed up in the FPRV when you did the shim kit

We didn't put the shims in the owner of the truck did. So I don't what he did to it but you think it comes back to the shims.
