Default LLY MP MOD? !!HELP, I GUESS!!

Ok i have already ordered my kodiak mp from gmpartsdirect.com, only prob is that they dont even begin to think about shipping the part until ten days after you order it. I live in texas and am going to ohio tomorrow night. Is there anyone out there that has mod'd thier LLY mp, and if so is it a quick fix until i get my kodiak mp? If you have pics of the inside of your mod'd mp i would greatly appreciate it so i know how much i should shave off the mp.

It might help to smooth airflow, but the volume wont increase much, the truck has run ok with it the way it is for how long? might as well wait until you get the kodiak piece

Im curious as to why you went with the Kodiak piece instead of the LBZ unit?

Went with the kodiak mp cause i felt it was the better choice. It doesn't the resinator port and i have already purchased the items needed to reroute my pcv, so it just seemed like the cleaner install part. also i am all about as removing everything that is not needed in my engine bay, so i can reduce as much weight as possible. my goal is to have my engine so clean that it is a breeze to work on. less weight = less in the engine comparment, which means i can tinker and not worry about removing half the engine to get to something small. the lbz mp is larger, heavyer, and takes up more space. also over all i dont think the slight diameter difference will matter all that much, anything is an improment over the current mp

I'd say just leave it like it is until the parts get there. It's survived this long without the upgraded piece.
