Default Hissing exhaust

Recently installed 5" SS Magnaflow from front pipe back. Fairly easy install sounds good and truck seems to respond well to less restriction. So far no codes or any other adverse affects. The only issue is while idling there is a noticeable hiss at the tail pipe. Just curious, Is this normal...?

thats normal with a vvt, variable vane turbo, the vanes are controlled by the computer and a vane sensor. the tone will change often with these especially when the truck is cold.

when the truck idles up you will notice the hiss becomes quite a bit louder, you will also notice that it makes a hell of a jet engine noise when you lay heavy into the throttle

Default Hissing Exhaust

The hiss sounds more like air leaking. When applying the throttle the turbo whine starts along with the MagaFlow roar. Just wasn't expecting the hiss. Appreciate the info. Thanks...
