Default does a stock LLY truck smoke?

the reason i ask is cuz my brother has one and before he had any mods on it, it smoked when he got into it. Also its very touchy. The difference between barely gettin on it and really gettin on it seems like a toe twitch. Just wondering if they're all that way?

Also do they make a mild tune that doesn't wipe out the govenor?

when mine was stock it would puff a little bit of smoke on a warm day but nothing noticable. it should smoke very little if anything when stock.

you can make a tune pretty much any way you want it now days.

If it was traded in with a tune go to dealership and have them flash the computer

My 04.5 LLY before I changed to straight pipe exhaust would puff a little black smoke when I would stick it to the wood. I know this because I tried getting out of a ticket for playing in the rain, the cop said very politely quit bullshitting me... I saw the black smoke.

Once I changed the exhaust, the black smoke became very noticable all over my bed and RR wheel. I have no tuner on it, side exit exhaust and it was bone stock. So yeah, I do believe its a common thing to show a little black smoke in stock form!

When towing heavy taking off from a standstill I've seen them puff a lot more, but not black though, never black, just a hazy cloud.
