Just bought a 2005 duramax for the lady today (namely I am sick of the strokes), but I am wondering who publishes the tech manuals that the GM mechanics use in the shop. I find those to be pretty useful diagnostics and repairs. Also if anyone can recommend a good scanner I might be interested in that too. As far as the sig, I now have 2 strokes that are for sale if anyone is interested

 

Haynes manual , they make them for gm

 

That is not nearly as in depth as I am referring to... I want step by step teardown and rebuild from bumper to bumper, from a book that includes all transmissions transfers and diffs.

 

Helms manual I think, that's where I ordered mine from. They gave me five huge books just for my 2001

Found a used set on ebay for the same price, so I opted for the new ones
