Default injector cup accident SOS please advice

I removed #6 injector and cup came with it, i cleaned cup put new orings and oiled rings, when i went to putting the cup into the head, i couldnt really see very well and began tapping cup into head, after about 6 or 7 pretty good taps i looked at cup and it didnt look like it went down very far it also looked crooked in the hole.
i pulled out the cup and looked at the inner mating surface of the head where the beveled edge of the cup would mate with the head, and it had a quarter moon cut in the mating surface of the head where the cup nozzle had been hitting it.
the injector cup is toast i can get another one, but im concerned that the mating surface on the head may need to be repaired, the cut is on the outer edge of the surface and it seems like i still have about3/4 of the diameter untouched
Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. injector cup accident SOS please advice-injector-cup.jpg

i took a plumbers tool that you use to seat the washers to the facet and turned mine and glued the crap outta it and it has been working fine for over a year you have to use permaneant thread sealer on them hope this helps the corect way to do it is take your head to a machine shop and get it done with the right machine but if your straped like the rest of America it doesnt hurt to try first and see what it looks like good luck
