Default What are ok egt temps?

While pullin my trailer with my 02 duramax my egts run up to around 1250 degrees is that ok?

pre or post turbo probe? if post it getting on the high side and hopefully its just a spike then back down several degrees. pre your still ok but its warm. 1500-1600 is HOT pre side, you can go higher if it gets cooled down really really quick.

The egt sensor is taped into the passenger side exhaust manifold. I'm also running my chip on level 2.

your fine than. as long as 1250 is you max and it just spikes there once in awhile.

ok. It usually holds around 1200.

man thats still awful fulkin hot??? i know i have an different tuck but towing i run the hottest at 900 ish post turbo and its more or less an acceleration thing.

1200 sustained is fine, anything over 1300 for more than a few minutes is not so good, i have seen an lb7 hit 1600 for about 15-20 seconds and it is still running like a champ

Yup spec for the dmax is 1350 sustained.

Lol 15-20 seconds? Haha u never ridden with me Song u would chit your pants
