Got a problem with my 4x4 indicator lights. Sometimes when I start truck the indicator light shows it to be in 4low, other times NO lights at all and then other times is shows 2high. Soemtimes I can cycle the key and it will start working fine and sometimes I have to drive with it showing 4low but it is really in 2high. With this probmem be the module be hind the push buttons or the servo on the transfercase?

It may be the switch assembly but I can sometimes just cycle power and it works fine and other times put truck in neutral and select 2high and it works fine. Keep in mind it never actually shifts the trans into 4high or 4low. It just lights the LED on the switch assembly.

ah ha ... then it might be the servo or something to do with it ... still might be the switch?

mine would thro the service 4x4 light up and then be stuck in 2wd .. couldnt go into 4wd hi or lo... if i pushed a button it would just flash and then go back to 2wd ... now if i turned off and turned the truck back on and popped into 4wd before the service light came on (usually like 4-5 min) then i would be fine

i know it is the switch ... i swapped with a working to check ... just havent replaced it yet ... ask a bud that has a 4x4 if you could pull his out and plug it in for a little bit to check .. thats what i did and ran with his for like 2 days and worked fine ... so when i get home ( miss my truck) im gana go and get it and slap the new one in ... also heard there is an software update for our trucks that has to do with all this too
