Default 2003 duramax no start

I wrote a thread the other day about my buddy's LB7 o3 Duramax. I gave his mechanic all the info from what everyone gave me. They did some testing and FPR was what they came up with. Put new one on today. Truck started right up ran for a test drive, he took it home confident that problem was solved. Guess what? No start. Still searching for some answers. Not sure if they pressurized tank to check for leaky "O" rings. Can't say I didn't tell them. He's beside himself. Unit cost was somewhere in $400.00 range. Anybody got answer?

Have you tried priming it and see if that does the trick? Fuel filter housing may be cracked.

Default 03 Duramax no start

I told mechanic to try this before but will tell him again. It sounds like bleeding back to me also. Will that show up if they pressurize fuel system from tank? Or just take out and replace. Someone else said also could be "O" rings inside?

could just need a filter head rebuild, you can get a kit from Merchant to rebuilt it for pretty cheap

Go out and look for a 1999-2003 7.3L POWERSTROKE and it should fix that problem for good!

He doesnt want to make things WORSE This comment is not necessary, it doesn't help, besides, why would someone want to make a step BACK? might as well keep the Duramax, at least he has something then

guys chill out. every one has there own opinions for vehicles. any ways, i'm posting for a guy i work with. i believe his pickup is an 03 duramax. he was checkin fence the other day and it just quit. he said he tried priming it but that didn't do anything. it will just crank and not fire. i personally no nothing about duramax so any help is appreciated. and yes it has fuel, well the gauge shows it does anyways...
