thanks for responding big white, just got a diag. sheet that says the DTC p0087 and p1093 are caused by -exessive fuel return to the tank - a fuel injection pump failure - a fuel pressure regulator failure, but also says if you have to prime pump check for a restricted fuel supply line or an air leak. i definitly need to prime, so i think you are right, what is a good way to test for air leaks from point to point? are there any common places to check that you know of? thanks again i'll be back on it tomorrow , just want my truck back ya know?

so i spent all day pulling parts and testing lines, tested fuel lines that are under the hood, lines were air tight from inlet through FICM and at the filter also checked right at filter housing inlet and outlet all OK.still wants to throw p1093. i did notice that the lines are basicaly dry when i pull them is that right? FICM wasn't exactly full either its driving me freakin nuts ya know it ran perfect after the initial inj. change what the any way any help would be awesom

it is very possible that you are getting air at the filter head, you can buy a rebuild kit for them to put all new seals in them, fairly common problem

Ok so got tired of beatin my head against the wall so i took it to the dealer had them hook it up to tech 2. they siad when they command 160 MPA the actual is 109-110. exactly what it was when i took it in befor i did the injectors, they recommend replace injection pump and retest oh and by the way throw a new FPRV while im at it i guess they think im a cadillac owner with money to just throw around ? so iasked about leaks they said no internal or external leaks. my question i guess is what is more likely the cause? hate just guessin when parts are so costly. heard somthing about puting an industrial pump rather than replace FPRV? ill probably pull the parts and get to the FPRV and take alook dont know if there is any way to check the pump/FPRV once they are out? if any body can help this old nail bender out HELP!!!!

hey real quick iwas just out kinda just lookin over stuff i notice that the short piece of rubber fuel line that comes out of filter head outlet and hooks almost right into hard line is pretty soft and i can collapse it preety easy with my thumb and index finger .could the high pressure be collapsing the hose under a load?
