What Tranny Does The 03 Have

This is what McRat said about Casper when Mike tore him down. I think Pat was mistaken though. That converter did not have 70 passes on it. It was a lot less.

Hard parts, AOK. All are in reuseable condition.
C3 clutches show medium wear. No limping, no pockets, no delam, no warp.
Converter? Clutch hosed.
I would say the C3 Oiler probably helped since this trans was often hot-lapped, and had been burned-down at the staging lights by some trucks, but the wear was what I'd consider to normal for a 500HP truck after a year of racing.

Well sure it would, but I wouldn't run it on Kill mode all the time if you drive hard. Always run it in a tow tune when towing, let the trans re-learn when going up in tunes, and start saving for a trans if you have a heavy right foot. Something that will help prolong your trans lifespan is a trango shift kit. Quite inexpensive too. But nothing is like having an aftermarket trans.
