Help! Im sellin my ford 6.0 for a 2001 duramax is it worth it?
 
I currently own a 6.0 powerstroke but im wantin to sell it for a 2001 duramax with less miles on it the only prob is its manual and idk how to drive a stick!:argh: How easy is it to learn a stick? i rlly want to get tha duramax but idk bout the stick help plz:dang:

put a stick on the accelerator and have it hold like 12-1500 rpms and learn how to work the clutch untill you get a feel for it, then try it using both pedals.

those 6speeds manuals are a rare dmax

Yeah, you found a nice truck. As long as it's not white lol. White duramaxes just don't look nice...

anywhoo. Practise in a yard or a parking lot from idle into 1st gear. Starting out is the hardest, that's where you'll stall. Shifting gears 1-3 is the hardest...once you're going above ~40mph or shifting 4th gear and above it's easy to shift, no matter what vehicle you're in. At that speed you'll have enough momentum that it will be almost impossible to screw up the shift.

And man, if it's your daily driver, don't even worry about it. You'll learn it in no time. You'll have to since it's your only way to get around. Just make sure that truck has good injectors on it.

thanx guys but got some bad news...gotta sell my 6.0 for cash tha dealer wouldnt give me nuttin for it he said the 6.0 powerstroke was to risky and might go at any minute:dang:. So im sellin it to a guy for 11000 and i have a lil extra saved up so i got a total of 13500 to spend on a diesel...any suggestions on what to get? I need a reliable one hopefully with under 190k miles on it...need help:argh:....btw im sellin mine cause it has 174k miles on it and i cant afford work on it if somethin goes bad on it...

StarT in 2nd first is to low gear, its not that hard, love mine. AND ITS WHITE:moon:
