I'd bet it's the fuel filter...

Probly the filter. 7 months seems a bit to long

why doo the filters have to be so expensive? the last one i bought was 70 bucks and that was the cheapest one i could find. how often should they be changed?

You should be able to find them for $45! Where did you buy from?
I have a friend at NAPA that was getting them for me for $20...

Change the fuel filter every 10,000 miles maximum. If you live up North and it's cold and you start running into trouble, you might need to change it more frequently.

i bought it from napa a few months ago with a discount for about 70$. i live in OR and it doesnt get very cold here. mabye they lowered the price since then.

I think full price at NAPA is $70, try and sweet talk them. If you get the preferred customer discount it should only be $45.

Alternatively, I'm not sure where else to buy from other than the GM dealer, but I've seen deals on ebay for multiples if you buy like 3-5 at a time, and I think they were OEM filters.

fuel filter. mine does the same thing.I also have the 6sp manual and in oregon.I thought I was the only one around with the 6sp manual. and yes it will do the same thing with a load or in 6th WOT at the high rpms .and its not the 98 mph limiter been there several times.

ya it was the filter i cut it opened when i replaced it and it was black and nasty!! the price went down a bit if i remember it was about 45 bucks this time

Thats great!!! I sure wish mine was fixed but it is looking like I will be putting a $850 cp3 fuel pump on mine.
