Default Looking at buying an '02 LB7 Pro/cons

I'm going to be looking at a 2002 Chevy Dmax tomorrow. My wife was out looking at 4dr trucks and came across this one and said she liked it. What are the problems to be on the look out for. it must have pulled some it has a gooseneck turn over ball in the bed...but all in all its in good shape. Dont know the Miles and such yet but i'll find that out tomorrow.

how are they for a DD'er

There are many lb7's that havent even heard of an injector problem. Its one of those things that just happens, and to some people it happens a lot. Get a history report of the truck and see if the injectors have been serviced. the truck will be out of warrenty since its past the 7 year mark, but they are a good motor. They seem to get the best mileage out of all the dmaxes stock for stock and the general maintenance really cant be much easier on a diesel.

changing the fuel filter often seems to keep the injectors alive. I would get an additional filter fo the fuel as injectors are pricey and somewhat of a pin to replace on the 02.
