My 2001 duramax smokes white with a bit blueish but smells like diesel
I am getting 18 mpg right now was in florida and not doing it but now back in wisconsin where it's 50 degrees
Smokes while idleing but doesn't smoke when I am moving

 

sounds like bad injectors. get a balance rate test done

 

if I get them tested and only one or two are bad would it be ok just to replace the bad ones cause a little tight for cash cause I just got it I gotta throw some pics up soon

that would be alot of work for just two inectors, it only takes like 30 minutes longer to do the other 6 while your down there.

 

Do em all once you're in there

i agree get all 8 done.

 

definitly figure out what is wrong before your replace all the injectors. i was planning on replacing all of mine, turns out the problems was in the fuel line. just make sure you know before your drop 2grand on injectors..

 

I did my injectors and now everything is great! besides my water pump is now going bad OO well

water pump aint too bad u can check out thr write up i posted

 

I replaced all the injectors and water pump and I didn't have to remove the starter
Now my head gasket will probably go bad I hope not if that happens I am going to pull my motor
