does anyone know the correct valve lash for an 01 dmax.

i did the valve lash a few days ago on my truck, they were .036" and more

but now it purrs

factory spec is .012" but I like to set them a little tighter. Usually closer to .010".

But thats just my own opinon....

how often should a guy check the lash?

i never seen anything about the scheduled maintenance of the valve lash on a dmax, but if you were to replace the injectors, then it would be a good time to adjust the valves.
