Default EGR causes hazing?

Hey ya'll, I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I bought some injectors from Chad @ Alligator Performance, just 50hp injectors, with the assurance they wouldn't smoke much, behavior would be the same.

Well, it's not. My truck hazes at idle (even with tuning help & EFI Live) and smokes quite a bit under throttle. My question is simply this - I have a california truck, it has EGR; will the EGR system cause hazing and more smoke?

No, I haven't. California is set to start requiring diesel vehicles to pass smog tests and they're enforcing it retroactively. So, in the next year I will most likely have to start passing smog. I'd prefer to leave it functioning but if I have to disable it, I will (no clue what I'll do when the time to smog it comes - problem for tomorrow, I guess).
