Default Removing the Harmonic Balancer

Hi,

I am new to Diesel Bombers and am new to diesel trucks. I own a 2001 GMC with an LB7 Duramax. I am trying to remove the balancer to get to the water pump. Before I do something stupid, like break the bolt, which way does the bolt loosen (when facing the engine from the front)?

Thanks!

its just like your normal bolt, except its tightened down to 260ftlbs and loc-tighted
so yes turn it left

this should help.
