Thats the great thing about PPE's tunes. They are VERY low smoke tunes. Well written. You must have the PPE Standard.. isnt that right? Now the PPE Hot+2.. it'll make some smoke..

Plus, our DMAX's that are automatics, tend to spool up pretty quick, matching the fuel going into the intake with the proper amount of air. TO get smoke, you need more fuel than your Turbo can light..

Why do you want it to smoke? Unburned fuel is not very efficient.

lmao. i have heard that i might need a fuel filter about 50 billion things. i got a new one a little over a month ago. so it isn't that.

i dont wanna turn it all the way up cause i don't wanna break my tranny. the 5th tune is like +220hp.

why do i want it too smoke? to show off and make it look like a beast. i don't care about the efficiency. i'm more of a looks guy. i want people to see me goin down the road and say "holy $#!7 that truck is badass!"

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

so in the time it took to type that last post i decided i'll turn it up just to see.

but if it breaks my tranny i'm SOL.

(i'll just go steal someone elses...)

UMM...yeah... so i about crapped my pants with that 220horse tune...
i fish tailed the back end doin 20... still no black smoke though
there was actually more smoke at the 90horse tune than the others.
oh well. is it safe to run that tune all the time as long as i'm not hammerin on it alot and lettin off the gas, letting it switch gears and then rollin back into it?

i'm still amazed at the power in that thing. why would anybody want to drive anything other than a diesel...?

You aint gonna see much smoke with the PPE Standard.. plain and simple.. The PPE Hot+2 will make some smoke. Just be careful always let your trans warm up before flogging on it, pay attention to the shifts, and it will last a bit longer that if you just flog it at all times..

alright. well i plan on getting the hot+2 or efi live after i get my tranny upgrade. so i'll just wait till then. but yeah i'll make sure i'm careful with it. and i will probably just ride around on the 120 or 160 horse tune unless i'm makin a long trip or feel like turnin my knuckles white.

but i'm hopin to get a suncoast stage IV by the end of next year...(money ain't so hot)
