The LB7 uses an open PVC system while the LLY, LBZ and LMM use a closed system. Here's pics of the LB7 system.

Yep, all 3 of my LB7s that have had injector problems, got the nice anti-rust undercoating

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

If it's still under the 200k warrenty for the injectors, dump a gallon of diesel into the crankcase and take it to the dealer.....

OK so I have been checking my balance rates on and off for the last week, and number 8 is now running between +8 and +12 in drive, number 1 is between +5.9 and +6.5 in drive. Will the dealer replace them?

Will they replace all 8 or just the bad one? What will they say about my exhaust, pyro and boost gages, and secondary fuel filters?

Default Dealer said no go.

According to my dealer, GM will no longer replace injectors for just smoking. The numbers have to meet their criteria. Even if the injectors are failing, they have to be "defective" not just worn out, which is usually the problem. The fuel pressure is so high, they explained, that they're wearing out in about 50,000 miles. This does not qualify as a defect. Good luck.
