Information Cabin Air filter

Reminder: Don't forget to change out the Cabin air Filter on Your GM truck after 15k miles or One year. They do exist on trucks/suv from 99-03NBS. They stopped adding them since no one over changed them.

Recently changed mine after a year and half of owning the truck since my a/c couldn't blow cold air very well. And what a huge difference, and no weird initial smell when the A/C cranks on.

Easy to replace them, They are located underneath the glove box. You have to remove the Plastic kick pannel on the passenger side (4 7mm screws) and u can see the access panel for the Filters. its tied down with a gold screw 5mm IIRC. and theres 2 filters in there. The Air flows from the passenger side over the the driver side fyi.

Heres a pic, i beat the filters on the ground to get the loose dirt out, and they're still really dirty.

They are on '99-'03 new body style only and there are 2 filters side by side in the same location.

My 99.5 Silverado gasser had them... And they made all the difference in the world when i changed them. Very much worth changing... I either paid $12 or $24 for the two of them - can't remember... Either way, cheap!

took a look for them, because my ac doesn't seem cold enough, but i couldn't see the access panel I remove what appeared to be a censor of some kind and looked inside with a flashlight and all i could see was the fan impeller and what looks like a radiator. am i in the wrong spot?
let me know, was planning on getting the ac system checked but would love to save a few $ and do it myself
