Default Help My Truck Won't Start

i was driving my truck and the fuel filter clogged up and killed my truck so i changed it and now i cant get my truck started. i have ran out of diesel before and it took me forever to get it started but its just not starting now i primed it and even emptied my tank and filled it with new diesel now what should i do?

Remove the filter and turn the key on. This will ensure good fuel to the housing. May have to bump the starter. Reinstall the filter w/ fuel and reprime. There is a hand pump on the housing. Pump it up until you get resistance.

That doesnt work on a Duramax because they dont come with a factory lift pump. The CP3 draws the fuel from the tank.

25004X4- If you got one of the new style filters (TP1298B) some of them had issues with the sealing surface. Pull the filter off and check that the surface is straight and flat. If not, take the filter back and get another one. If so, start checking for a leak. Pump the hand pump until you feel it start to get hard and then crank the truck. Shouldnt have to do this more than twice to get the truck to stay running.

well its up at the chevy house waiting to be worked on and they told me they think its the fuel presser regulater thats messed up

shoot just shoot a little ether in there, i know i know your not supposed to but hey if it gets it runnin it will be fine, just dont go crazy with it

well it died then after that it had a ruff idle. and i tryed the ether but it didnt work
