Default Broken Fuel Line

Newbie here, this is my first diesel.

2002 LB7 with ~170,000 miles. Pretty much stock as far as I know. Third owner and I picked it up from my grandfather who didn't do any modifications.

Ok so the truck has thrown the P1093 for the last 2 years that i have owned it. On the advice of someone I know I ordered a PPE Race valve to replace the FPRV. Got it all torn down last night and as my buddy was trying to loosen the banjo bolt on top of the FPRV we heard a very distinct "pop". I crawled up there and noticed the hard line that heads to the rear and eventually down around the bell housing is completely sheared.

I am assuming this is a fuel return line to the tank for the FPRV and injectors? If so I am also assuming that it is low pressure?

So making an "***-u-me", I could just use some rubber fuel line I have on hand that is rated to 300# and clamp that on there correct?

I am currently looking for a whole new part because that is usually my first choice but I am looking for a backup to get my truck back on the road. It isn't my DD so I don't need it back right away but I just got home from deployment and I miss it.

Thanks for the help guys, I hate asking for it on my first post but I guess that is life .
